AIR TERMINAL DEVICE
Controlled climate is essential on ships. That’s why HI AIR KOREA(HAK) offers a wide range of AIR TERMINAL DEVICE altogether to assure good air movement and equal humidity levels inside the ship.
The AIR TERMINAL DEVICE lines up by HAK for marine air conditioning systems is specially designed for optimum supply of conditioned air to specific areas on ships. For each type of HAK system(Twin-pipe, Single-pipe, Re-heat); there’s a comprehensive range of cabin unit type available depending on the application i.e. for bulkhead mounting or ceiling suspension, or units supplying the conditioned air through a grille or a ceiling diffuser.
HAK AIR TERMINAL DEVICEs are of compact and customizable design, sizes to suit the client’s ventilation requirements as well as the heating and cooling loads. All units have an air flow control device which the air flow delivered can be varied from nil to a predetermined maximum. Aside from that, the unit intended for Twin-pipe and Re-heat installations is provided with individual temperature control, independent of the air flow control and special attention has been considered to sound attenuation. From experience, the resulting sound levels in ship’s accommodation are very satisfactory.

CONSTRUCTION
- Air spigot for connection to the air duct system which supplies conditioned air from the air handling unit
- Sound trap, made of inorganic material reducing the noise from the duct system and throttling damper to the requested sound level
- Control lever for the air flow regulating device
- Attenuator box in galvanized sheet steel material
- Diffuser in cold rolled steel material
- The diffuser is painted with a traffic white, code RAL 9016 or can be supplied in any color, if desired
- Certificate : compliance to module B & D of Marine Equipment Directive 2014/90/EU(“B-0/B-15” CLASS DIVISIONS, CEILINGS, FIRE INTEGRITY)
ACCESSORIES
- Thermostat is designed to provide automatic on/off control for re-heater cabin unit

By providing accurate directional control of the air flow, localized air movement is increased in poorly conditioned zones or dead air spaces - improving working conditions for personnel, equipment and industrial processes.
